I cleaned up a map that was available at www.secwepemc.org. I imported the image into Inkscape and made it into a Vector Graphics map, so that it can be increased to any size without pixelation. The map shows the 17 bands of the Secwepemc Nation.
The thing to remember is that Indian Bands were set up by the Department of Indian Affairs. They are NOT a traditional form of governance. For many people that's all we know, but we still have to make a concerted effort to return to traditional governance. The self-government that the Canadian and Provincial Governments are promoting is not what they are claiming.
